Patch 15.12 — The Final Frontier
Riot Games delivered Patch 15.12 on May 27, 2025, bringing sweeping changes to late-game scaling, a full rework of the Enchanters' support toolkit, and the most significant jungle path overhaul since the 14.10 wilds redesign. Ranked Season 2025 Split 2 is in its final weeks — every adjustment here could define the competitive meta heading into Worlds.
Core Gameplay
Summoner's Rift fountain now provides a stacking healing aura (12% max HP per 5s, up to 3 stacks) to reduce snowball pressure from early ganks. Dragon Soul buffs now decay after 45 minutes of inactivity to force objective resets. The new "Elder Contender" buff grants 15% movement speed toward enemy champions within 800 units for 2 seconds after scoring a kill or assist.
Map & Objectives
Cloudflare Drake now applies a shield pulse that blocks the next incoming ability every 8 seconds (stacks to 3). Ocean Soul grants adaptive stats scaling with total gold earned — teams that split gold evenly see a 20% stronger buff. Baron Nashor's buff now includes a 10% damage reduction against towers, rewarding split-pushing strategies.
Ranked Adjustments
LP gains in Challenger and Grandmaster reduced by 12% to slow ladder congestion. New "Clutch Rating" metric now influences MMR — players who consistently secure objectives under 500 HP receive a hidden bonus. Flex Queue matchmaking now prioritizes role balance over raw MMR parity in Diamond+ tiers.

Champion Changes in Patch 15.12
Over 40 champions received adjustments. Here are the most impactful shifts reshaping the current meta, from hypercarry ADCs to burst mages and bruiser top-laners.
Jinx — Buffed for Late-Game Hypercarry
Passive (Get Excited!): Movement speed bonus increased from 20%/30%/40% to 25%/35%/45%. Last-hit bonus now triggers on epic monsters. Q (Switcheroo!): Minion kill radius increased from 500 to 600. Rocket attack base damage raised by 8. R (Super Mega Death Rocket!): Damage per missing HP increased from 4% to 5%. Jinx is now a top-tier pick in extended teamfights, especially on the Blue side with extended side lanes.
Ahri — Nerfed Mid-Lane Dominance
Passive (Essence Theft): Charm stacks required to heal increased from 9 to 12. Q (Orb of Deception): Base mana cost raised from 65 to 75. Level scaling damage reduced by 3 per instance. R (Spirit Rush): Cooldown increased from 130/100/70s to 140/110/80s. Ahri's roaming and pick potential is noticeably reduced, opening space for scaling mages like Viktor and Syndra in the mid lane.
Lee Sin — Reworked Early-Game Pressure
Q (Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike): Base damage reduced from 55/80/105/130/155 to 50/75/100/125/150. Second cast bonus damage reduced from 65/100/135/170/205 to 55/90/125/160/195. W (Safeguard / Iron Will): Shield values increased by 20% at all ranks. E (Tempest / Cripple): Cripple slow increased from 20%/30%/40%/50%/60% to 25%/35%/45%/55%/65%. Lee Sin is weaker in pure burst but stronger in sustained skirmishes and peel scenarios.
Thresh — Enchanter Support Rework
Passive (Damnation): Soul cap increased from 25 to 40. Each soul now grants 0.4 bonus magic resist and 0.3 bonus armor (previously 0.6 MR only). Q (Death Sentence): Hook range increased from 1100 to 1150. Flinch effect now applies a 1.5s slow instead of a brief stun. W (Dark Passage): Lantern now grants a 30% movement speed boost to allies who grab it. Thresh's utility and peel potential are significantly enhanced, making him a counter-pick against dive-heavy compositions.
Camille — Top-Lane Split Push Rework
Q (Precision Protocol): Armor/MR shred increased from 4/6/8/10/12% to 5/7.5/10/12.5/15%. E (Hookshot): Wall jump now grants 40% bonus movement speed for 1.5s (previously 20% for 1s). R (The Hextech Ultimatum): Execution threshold lowered from 15/20/25% to 12/17/22% max HP. True damage bonus increased by 10%. Camille is now one of the most threatening split-pushers on the map, especially in compositions with dive supports.
Lillia — Jungle Clear Speed Buff
Q (Slumberous Strike): Sleep duration increased from 1.5s to 2s. Damage on wake-up increased by 15%. W (Watch me walk!): Movement speed while channeling increased from 15%/20%/25%/30%/35% to 20%/25%/30%/35%/40%. E (Lil' Li'llac!): Bloom slow increased from 20/25/30/35/40% to 25/30/35/40/45%. Lillia's clear and gank speed are substantially improved, making her a viable pick against heavy dive-jungle metas.

Recommended Builds for Patch 15.12
With the Enchanter support rework and late-game scaling adjustments, several item paths have shifted. Below are the highest-impact builds trending in solo queue and professional play as of Patch 15.12.
Jinx — Hypercarry Bot Lane
Core: Kraken Slayer → Runaan's Hurricane → Infinity Edge. Situational: Lord Dominik's Regards (vs. tanky comps), Guardian Angel (vs. burst), Bloodthirster (sustain). Boots: Berserker's Greaves. Runes: Lethal Tempo (Precision) with Triumph, Legend: Alacrity, Coup de Grâce. Secondary: Presence of Mind, Cut Down (Inspiration). With the Get Excited! buff, Jinx now thrives in extended fights — prioritize Kraken early for waveclear and teamfight AOE damage.
Thresh — Engage Support
Core: Locket of the Iron Solari → Knight's Vow → Zeke's Convergence. Situational: Redemption (poke comps), Gargoyle Stoneplate (heavy AD), Stoneborn Spirit (split-push lanes). Boots: Mobility Boots (roaming) or Mercury's Treads (heavy CC). Runes: Aftershock (Resolve) with Font of Life, Bone Plating, Revitalize. Secondary: Biscuit Delivery, Cosmic Insight. The new soul-scaling passive makes Locket an even stronger early-purchase, giving Thresh more survivability in extended trades.
Camille — Split-Push Top
Core: Trinity Force → Sterak's Gage → Death's Dance. Situational: Black Cleaver (vs. armor-heavy), Randuin's Omen (vs. crit ADCs), Guardian Angel (teamfight). Boots: Plated Steelcaps or Mercury's Treads. Runes: Grasp of the Undying (Resolve) with Demolish, Second Wind, Revitalize. Secondary: Triumph, Legend: Tenacity (Precision). The E movement speed buff makes Camille's wall-hopping devastating for side-lane pressure — build Sterak's early for survivability during extended 1v1s.
Lee Sin — Skirmish Jungle
Core: Eclipse → Black Cleaver → Death's Dance. Situational: Edge of Night (mage-heavy), Sterak's Gage (teamfight), Guardian Angel (late-game). Boots: Ionian Boots of Lucidity. Runes: Conqueror (Precision) with Triumph, Legend: Tenacity, Last Stand. Secondary: Second Wind, Revitalize (Resolve). With reduced Q burst, Lee Sin now benefits more from sustained fight items. Eclipse's on-hit damage and lifesteal synergize with the enhanced W shield for extended duels.
Viktor — Scaling Mid Lane
Core: Liandry's Torment → Shadowflame → Rabadon's Deathcap. Situational: Zhonya's Hourglass (divers), Void Staff (MR stacks), Cosmic Drive (mobility). Boots: Sorcerer's Shoes. Runes: Arcane Comet (Sorcery) with Manaflow Band, Transcendence, Scorch. Secondary: Celerity, Gathering Storm (Inspiration). With Ahri nerfed, Viktor's scaling path is now one of the safest mid-lane picks. Liandry's + Torment synergy with his passive damage-over-time makes him a late-game monster.
Lillia — Tempo Jungle
Core: Liandry's Torment → Rylai's Crystal Scepter → Zhonya's Hourglass. Situational: Shadowflame (burst), Cosmic Drive (roaming), Demonic Embrace (sustained fights). Boots: Ionian Boots of Lucidity. Runes: Phase Rush (Sorcery) with Manaflow Band, Transcendence, Scorch. Secondary: Biscuit Delivery, Cosmic Insight (Inspiration). The Q sleep duration and W speed buffs make Lillia's gank windows significantly wider. Prioritize Liandry's for maximum slow + burn damage on sleeping targets.
