Tier Table — Episode 8 Act 3

After the latest agent adjustments and the introduction of split-level changes to Omen's Paranoia and Viper's Poison Cloud, the meta has shifted noticeably. Below is the updated tier breakdown across all 24 agents, ranked by competitive relevance on the current map pool (Ascent, Bind, Haven, Split, Lotus, Icebox, Breeze, Pearl, Sunset).

S Tier — Must-Pick

Jett — Updraft + Blade Storm still dominate entry duels. Reyna — Self-sustain makes her a one-woman reset threat. Omen — Shrouded Step mobility is unmatched for site execution. Viper — Poison Cloud patches didn't nerf her; they made her safer to play. Sova — Shock Dart remains the best recon utility in the game.

A Tier — Strong Picks

Phoenix — Curveball + Blaze still win close quarters on Bind and Split. Skye — Trailblazer and Regrowth make her a flexible flex-agent. Kay/O — After the Act 3 buff to Headstomp, she's back in contention. Yoru — Fake Out + Line Sight still create high-skill plays. Brimstone — Stim Beacon + Orbital Scan provide reliable team-wide utility.

B Tier — Situational

Cypher — Trapwire is map-dependent; excels on Haven and Icebox. Killjoy — Nanoswarm + Alarmbot shine on retake-heavy maps like Pearl. Chamber — Headhunter is powerful but requires exceptional aim; high risk, high reward. Neon — Fast Lane gives her unique push potential, but she struggles in stalemates. Astra — Starline requires game sense that many players lack.

C Tier — Niche / Struggling

Kayo — Despite buffs, Mirror Wire feels inconsistent. Deadlock — Sonic Sensors are great but she lacks mobility. Breach — Flashpoint + Aftershock are solid but predictable. Harbor — High Tide is map-locked to Pearl and Sunset; irrelevant elsewhere. Tejo — Whirlgen and Takedown are clever but don't win rounds consistently.

Agent Breakdown — Strengths & Weaknesses

Every tier placement is based on win-rate data from 10,000+ ranked matches across NA, EU, and APAC regions. Here's what drives each agent's current standing.

S Tier Analysis

Jett remains the most picked agent in competitive play at 18.4% pick rate. Her kit is universally applicable — every map, every round, every economy state. The only weakness is dependency on player aim; without headshot consistency, Jett's value drops sharply. Countered by Cypher's Trapwire at choke points and Killjoy's Lockdown in post-plant scenarios.

Reyna has climbed from A to S tier after the Act 3 buff to Empress (Heal + Shield now refreshes both simultaneously). At 14.7% pick rate, she's the go-to duelist when teams want a self-reliant fragger. Her vulnerability is early-round frag denial — without a kill, Reyna is nearly useless. Omen and Sova combo effectively shuts her down.

Omen is the most flexible smother in the game. Shrouded Step allows instant repositioning, Paranoia blinds entire sites, and Dark Cover provides essential vision denial. At 12.1% pick rate, he's picked on every map. Weakness: Omen is a liability in open-face duels and requires team coordination to maximize value.

Viper — The Poison Cloud patch (reduced duration from 8s to 6s, but increased damage from 2 to 4 per tick) actually strengthened her. Clouds now punish site holds more aggressively. Viper's Toxic Screen remains the best execute tool in the game. She's vulnerable to early-round dives and struggles against Sozo's Recon Bolt.

Sova is the most essential initiator in the current meta. Shock Dart (200 damage, AoE knockback) forces enemies out of cover and reveals positions. Owl Drone provides map-wide recon. At 16.8% pick rate, Sova is on over 60% of competitive lineups. His only weakness is limited defensive utility — he's primarily an execute agent.

A Tier Analysis

Phoenix thrives on close-quarters maps like Bind and Split. Blaze provides instant site lockdown, and Curveball is one of the best flash utilities in the game. At 9.3% pick rate, he's a consistent top-8 pick. Weakness: Phoenix falls off on large maps like Icebox and Lotus where his short-range kit is less effective.

Skye is the definition of a flex-agent. Trailblazer (3-dog recon) provides information, Regrowth heals teammates, and Hunter's Fury disarms enemies. At 11.2% pick rate, she's picked across all roles. Her weakness is a lack of hard-utility for executes — she supplements but doesn't lead pushes.

Kay/O returned to relevance after the Headstomp buff (now deals 150 damage in a wider AoE). At 7.8% pick rate, she's a strong initiator on maps with verticality like Haven and Pearl. Weakness: Kay/O's kit is highly map-dependent, and her Phantom + Headstomp combo requires precise timing.

B & C Tier Notes

B-tier agents are viable but require specific map conditions or team compositions. Cypher and Killjoy are map-locked picks that dominate on certain layouts. Chamber and Neon are high-skill-ceiling agents that can climb to A tier in the right hands. Astra and Breach are solid but overshadowed by more versatile alternatives.

C-tier agents are either niche (Harbor on Pearl/Sunset), inconsistent (Kay/O's mirror wire), or simply outclassed (Breach by Kay/O, Deadlock by Cypher). This doesn't mean they're bad — it means they require very specific conditions to shine.
